Even as a music major, I couldn’t play a single song when someone asked. I’ll never forget being at a party my first year of college. Guitar in the corner. A few people joked, “Jake, are you gonna play something?” I laughed it off, but inside my heart sank. Truth was…I couldn’t play a song to save my life. And what kind of pick do you like to use? I go over my favorite and recommended technique for holding the pick, which works for so many musicians, but is a little tricky to get used to at first. I'd love to know if you think I'm nuts for recommending everybody holds the pick this way. 🙃
