@Jake Yakes I went to become a casino dealer.. and I worked at the El Cortez downtown grave yard shift. I thought it would be glamorous from what I saw on tv! But my reality was making 12-14 dollars a day! Weekends were better maybe 30-35 a day! I dealt cards to hookers, junkies and degenerate gamblers. I saw a guy loose his house by betting away his mortgage payment and his wife sobbing to the Casino Manager who was coked out asshole! But other than that it was awesome. I made some good friends and have lots of fun stories out of my casino years.

Kickstart January..Day 1ish
How long you’ve been playing guitar 2 years in January but only made real progress when I joined GGP..so not quite 2 years. - What got you interested in guitar Messed around with Bass in the 90's but always wanted to play guitar but didn't think I had the dexterity for it....When I was in Middle School a kid I knew played bass and he played "My Sharona" by the Knack. I thought it was really cool so that started my interest in playing... - Your song for the challenge It's called funny little beer. I wrote it as an anniversary poem for my wife for our 20th and had SUNO put music to it. I am really happy with it, so I am learning the arrangement for it. I will eventually sing it and maybe change the guitar around a little bit. But for now I am just learning the overall flow of the music. Background Funny Little Beer: I met my wife at an event at a bar and was drinking a fairly strong beer from a small brandy snifter type glass. She happened to sit beside me and asked me what I was drinking in that "Funny little glass?"... I told her during our conversation that night (after I had, had a few of those funny little beers) I was going to marry her someday and 11 months later we got married...

Changing Strings and some basic maintenance
I know there are a few members here who have just started their guitar journey. So I thought I would post this video on how to change strings and share some basic maintenance tips. These are just my methods and there are many others out there but this works for me. I hate for people to have to give up their guitar for any given amount of time plus spending extra money unnecessarily on doing something that could easily be done at home....The video is a little long as I go through the following: String Removal, Fret board cleaning and polishing frets, general cleaning, restringing and tuning along with stretching the strings... If there is anything you would like to know more about or even further explanation please let me know and I will be happy to help...Thank You

@Richard Dumont oh man thank you and I am glad it helped!

@Leo Penaranda Sure, Be glad to. It may be a minute before I get that together but totally understand! Intonation is time consuming for sure alot of micro checks it seems. but I will put together my process.I think a big part of getting intonation correctly is making sure everything else is spot on, Neck Relief, Nut Slots are cut correctly and strings set to neck radius. IF those are in check then the intonation part is easier time consuming but easier.
