Sweet and Sour
Tell the group one thing you did that made a positive difference in your business AND one thing that was a hard lesson learned.
I’ll go first…
Sweet: We created a minimum quota for our Inspectors to hit ($50k a month) and if they miss it, they have to do at least $40k the next month, $45k the month after, then back to $50k the 3rd month. If they can’t hit quota any of those 3 months, they’re out. Now we don’t have to beg sales reps to work harder, sell more, or listen to excuses. They manage their own time off requests because they don’t want to miss quota.
Sour: I started my company with the premise that I would never raise prices on my existingu customers. Just raise it for new customers as needed. Over the years I severely compromised my ability to make money. The bigger we got the more often I skipped paying myself. We had no margin and it almost put us under.
Let’s hear yours!
