Are you measuring this???
I was at a conference today and I heard a metric that I haven’t heard before. I’m sure you’ve heard of measuring dollars per route or route value per day. Even breaking that down to route value per hour. But what about route value per working hour meaning the time a technician is clocked in to a revenue producing job. So you cut out all of their travel time and only do the math on the revenue that was produced when they were doing fulfillment work on sales. These are your true billable hours. I’m curious if you think your number is: $30-$50 per hour $50-$80 per hour $80-$110 per hour $110+ per hour Before you go do the math, take a wild guess. How much do you think you are producing per billable hour? Put it in the comments

What’s your wildest story?
Just for fun. Post your wildest story of something that happened on the job in the comments. Here’s one of mine. I killed a rat with a lady’s prosthetic leg! 🦿It was like a scene out of The Little Mermaid when the chef is chasing the crab šŸ¦€ in the kitchen. I was setting traps and a rat ran out and I was chasing him all Over the room and I finally had him cornered but that was the only thing I could reach. So I asked the lady if I could use it and she said ā€œwhack away!ā€ So I did! 🤣

Objection: Why would I pay more?
Let’s say someone already pays for the service you provide but they pay less than you charge. Here’s how to make that sale

Mental fatigue hacks
I have found that some days it’s hard to get started or I have so many things to do my ADD kicks in and I find it hard to remember all of the things I need to do. To help me focus and stay on task, here are some things I do to limit wasted time. Please add to this list with your own hacks in the comments. 1. I keep lists in the notes app in my phone. I sort the list by task types. Urgent and important, not urgent but important, urgent but not important/Delegate, stuff I think I should be doing. Anytime I think of something that I need to get done I put it in the list. I referred to this list when I have free time or when I can’t get myself to decide what I should work on next. 2. My calendar is my rulebook. Every night when I plug my phone in, I sit and put things in my calendar. I go back to my list and see what is urgent and important that I should be working on the next day and how long it should take And I block off time in my calendar to make sure it happens. I use appointments for tasks with multiple steps or research or meetings. And I use reminders for quick tasks like a phone call. I need to make or things that are flexible on what time they get done, as well as short tasks that don’t take up a 30 minute timeslot in my calendar. 3. I set recurring alarms in my alarms app. I use the alarms for my goals. My first alarm of the day set the tone for my day because it’s labeled with my goal that I can repeat in my head all day. If there’s a meeting, I am regularly late for, I said an alarm five minutes before that meeting and label the alarm with the meeting name. If I forget to take lunch at a regular time, then I’ll set an alarm to remind me that it’s time to go to lunch. If my goal is to head home at a certain time, then I’ll set an alarm that repeats every day, reminding me to go home. One of the more important alarms is one that goes off every 15 minutes for me to track what I’m doing so I can see where I’m spending my time and or wasting my time. Then I can review it and look at what I need to delegate. 4. I take my list in my Notes app, my calendar as well, and show them to my management team. I asked them what they can help me on and allow them to pick tasks. They like to take them off my plate. This allows them to voluntarily be more valuable, and use their time more efficiently, as well as picking their strong suits.
