My real community…
I don’t know if anyone else will be able to relate to this, but if you can, even one person, then I want to share this for you. For the last 20 years of my life, I’ve done what I thought I was supposed to do. I went to school, studied something I was good at, got a job in a field I had some background in, and went to work doing a job I knew I would be able to do. I don’t regret it, to be clear, because it’s all come together to get me to where I am today, but it took me wayyyy too long to figure out what >>I<< needed because I was so focused on what other people thought I needed… I did a good job. I even got raises, that felt good for a few weeks each time, but it was still *WORK* and I knew it, and it was a grind. After 3 years there, I was coasting. I’ve always heard the mantra that if you do what you love you’ll never work a day in your life, and I’ve always told people that’s what *they* should do, but I never actually extended the same courtesy to myself. I started a community last year and quickly grew it to 500 and then later 1,000. That was.. neat, nice, I was.. glad? But it wasn’t my dream, so when it came true, it wasn’t a dream come true, it was just another arbitrary “accomplishment” that gave me nothing inside myself. I am finally extending the kindness to myself that I have so long told others to do… and started my real community; the one I love, the one I’d happily do for free, the one I’m a part of and not just the admin over. It has no members, of course, and STILL it feels better knowing I’m doing it right than any 1,100 members in one I was doing for money.. I don’t have any monetary success, but it is already successful in making me feel like there is a real possibility I will get to love the work I do!! I joined wingman & the cohort yesterday, and it’s changed my life even before my first call 😂😅 because I’m doing Skool for me, for my real community now, not for money, so the success of setting up my about page IS a success, because success is no longer measured in $ the community generates for me. It, the community itself, is the reward. I feel like I have been blind to not understand this, but now I see.

Can someone please explain how the Blitz works?
I've got to be honest here, I'd really love to win this Blitz thing but I have absolutely no idea what it is or how to take part in it. I'm not very good at reading stuff, so I'll probably be really embarrassed when someone points me to the classroom. Information seeking never was my strength. But, I do 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗶𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 in Goosify, so I definitely want to take part and have ago. I'd appreciate any help and tips, and also, maybe this post helps other people who feels like they should just know but were too afraid to ask. 😁

Lots of talks about GIFs but is there an actual reason behind making them other than it’s awesome to have your own gif? Does it drive traffic somehow? Please enlighten me I am very sleep deprived and yet I want to go and film my gifs I just need another good reason to go do it

Another Boost!
I made a post recently about being picked on the Boost Call (previously called: Goose Roasts) for feedback on my community about page, which back then, the message was fuzzy and unclear, and I had only some AI videos on the about page because I didn't know what to put. Then Goose and everyone gave me super helpful feedback on making it more clear. One point remained which was putting testimonials or anything about myself, and I didn't have any. To my surprise, everyone started writing comments in the chat, and the call went super funny and enjoyable. Here are some of the takes: - @Goose Dunlavey & @Imaan Taghavi said that my glasses were nice, and that I should put a clip where I talk about the leaks, wearing them 😂😂 - @Firenze Banks complimented my looks which was a booster to go and take action on the steps lol, thanks Firenze (hope I'm pronouncing the name right, or in Italian). - @James Humecky mentioned our conversation about the Renaissance. - @Rositsa Aleksandrova was being supportive in the back and cheering us all up. - Hell, @James Reynolds even joined my community during the live call, and we ended up hopping on another 1:1 hangout and talked for an hour afterwards where we explored work strategies, and we had so much in common it was crazy. He's building something great! - And many more awesome comments from everyone else, thanks y'all. The call had a surreal vibe. I now have stuff on my about page that actually works, shows what this house is about, and I had fun doing them, I even remembered that I had a testimonial from a friend whom I helped, and put that one on it as well. The Boost calls are super helpful and fun, we have another one Today.
“No one knows what they need”
“You know too much. You know what everyone needs. You’re in that space, but the truth is no one knows what they need, so they *cannot* meet you in that space” -🪿 I don’t know why this hit me so hard today, but he’s objectively right. If you’re operating within the space of knowing what they need and selling them what they need, they will - DEFINITIONALLY - not want to buy that thing (yet). You *have* to meet them where they are. Sitting near the top of the mountain shouting down that you’ll help anyone with the key last mile will convert *zero* people stuck half way up, just starting out, 3/4 of the way even, 90% of the people can’t hear you and the 10% who can; want help where they are. Sell them what they want, then give them what they need to get to where they want to go 📊
