My bush is the reason I haven’t gone swimming in 6 months. (Yes, we’re starting there. Buckle up.)
I haven’t gone swimming in months. Not because I’m busy. Not because I forgot. But because… I didn’t shave my bush. Yup. That’s it. My overgrown lady jungle is out here blocking my joy. And I let it. There’s a pool five minutes from my house. Swimming is literal therapy for my 𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺, 𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘭. Water gets me in flow — literally and figuratively. And still… I’ve been sitting here like: “Hmm… can’t go yet. I’m not ready.” Translation? I’m not perfectly groomed. Not totally prepped. Not fully “presentable.” Sounds ridiculous when I say it out loud. But I know I’m not the only one. We all do this — just with different excuses: 🖥️ “I’ll launch when the site’s done.” 🧍♀️ “I’ll go live when I lose 10 pounds.” 📦 “I’ll pitch once the offer’s perfect.” 🧠 “I’ll show up when I’ve healed that last trauma.” Let me say it louder: Your bush is not the problem. Your thighs are not the problem. Your half-finished backend is not the problem. ✨ Your nervous system is just scared of being seen. You’ve been trained to believe: ⚠️ It’s not safe to be visible unless you’re polished, edited, and 10 steps ahead. But the truth? 🌊 The water doesn’t care if you shaved. 🪄 Your dream clients don’t care if your branding is 100% cohesive. 🔮 Your purpose doesn’t care if you’ve “healed enough.” It just wants you to get in the damn pool. So here’s your nudge — and mine: 🩱 Put on the suit. 🚶♀️ Walk to the pool. 💥 Do the scary thing before you feel “ready.” Because if you wait until everything’s smooth, shiny, and perfect… You’ll miss the whole damn point of being alive.
