So, I listened.
The weather here, while cold, has been super nice and sunny, so we jumped into the car and drove to the beach.
5 min drive from our place.
The salty breeze wrapped around me like a long-lost friend, the waves reminding me to exhale.
As I was walking, picking up shells and little pebbles and listening to the Salish Sea, I finally exhaled fully
It was a moment of stillness amidst weeks of overworking, overcommitting, and pushing myself past the edge.
You see, for someone who preaches โfill your cup first,โ Iโd forgotten to practice what I teach.
Not to prove I was โgood enough.โ
But to sustain my own pace.
To compete with myself.
Iโve always been like thatโฆ
But hereโs the thing about energy:
Chasing whatever weโre chasing isnโt the problem.
Itโs the meaning we give it.
Itโs the energetic weight of chasing something that, deep down, doesnโt mean anythingโฆ
and doesnโt define us.
So as I stood on the shore, I made a choice:
To clear the attachment.
To see my goal for what it was.
Just a desire.
If I get it, great.
If I donโt, it says nothing about me.
Because energy flows when weโre unattached.
The more we let go of the โproving,โ the more space we create for what truly matters:
This is my invitation to you to reflect:
Where in your life have you been holding on too tightly?
What could shift if you cleared the attachment and let it flow?
Let the sea breeze be your reminder to exhale, release, and make space.
I needed to learn that lesson again.
Thatโs the reminder I needed.
And now Iโm reminding you too:
