“The Trap Doesn’t Move Without a Trigger
📖 Main Scripture Amos 3:5 (NKJV) “Will a bird fall into a snare on the earth, where there is no trap for it? Will a snare spring up from the earth, if it has caught nothing at all?” “The Trap Doesn’t Move Without a Trigger” Understanding Divine Cause & Effect in the Spirit 1️⃣ INTRODUCTION — Why This Verse Matters Amos 3:5 reveals a powerful truth many believers miss: God is teaching that NOTHING in the spiritual realm happens randomly. Blessings, warfare, setbacks, breakthroughs, and judgment always arise from a spiritual cause. Just as: - A bird doesn’t fall unless there was a trap - A trap doesn’t snap unless something touched it - A warning sign does not appear without danger The spiritual world operates by cause and effect. 2️⃣ BREAKDOWN OF THE SYMBOLS IN THE VERSE 🐦 A. The Bird — God’s People In Scripture, birds often represent vulnerable or unaware people (Psalm 91:3, Ecclesiastes 9:12). The bird symbolizes: - People who ignored warning signs - People falling into something they didn’t expect - People drifting into danger unaware 🪤 B. The Snare — Hidden Traps A “snare” in the Bible represents: - Temptation - Enemy traps - Sin and compromise - Wrong relationships - Disobedience - Unseen spiritual danger Scriptures: Psalm 124:7, Proverbs 29:6, 2 Timothy 2:26. ⚠️ C. The Trap Snapping — Consequence or Judgment God is saying: A consequence does not activate unless something triggered it. - Something stepped into place - Something was ignored - Something was opened - Something was sown - Something was tolerated - Someone moved outside alignment This matches Proverbs 26:2 — “A curse without cause shall not come.” 3️⃣ GOD’S POINT IN AMOS 3:5 🔥 A. Judgment doesn’t show up randomly. There is ALWAYS a spiritual root. 🔥 B. The enemy’s traps don’t activate without contact. Something had to step into it. 🔥 C. God gives warnings before consequences. See Amos 3:3–7. 🔥 D. The people fell because they ignored the voice of God

Jesus and nothing but Jesus
✨ JESUS AND NOTHING BUT JESUS Everything we are, everything we need, and everything we do flows from one Source: Jesus Christ alone. Not your strength. Not your wisdom. Not your works. Only Jesus. Why This Matters Most believers struggle because they try to live for Jesus without living through Jesus. They try to: - Have faith without the One who gives faith - Walk in purity without the One who purifies - Fight spiritual battles without the One who already won - Love God without receiving the love of Christ first The entire gospel is this: Jesus is enough. Jesus is everything. The Foundation: Who Jesus Is He is the Way “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” — John 14:6 No shortcuts. No substitutes. No other paths. Jesus is the only road to the Father. He is the Truth Truth isn’t an idea. Truth is a Person. Knowing Jesus = knowing truth. Without Him you can breathe and still be dead spiritually. With Him you can suffer and still live in power. Everything Begins With Him Faith Comes From Him “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.” — Hebrews 12:2 You can’t build faith without staring at Jesus. Strength Comes From Him “Without Me you can do nothing.” — John 15:5 Not “some things.” Nothing. Transformation Comes From Him “Beholding… we are changed into the same image.” — 2 Corinthians 3:18 You don’t change by trying harder. You change by seeing Him clearer. 5 Why We Preach Only Jesus The apostles preached ONE message: “We preach Christ crucified.” — 1 Corinthians 1:23 “For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.” — 1 Corinthians 2:2 Not self-help. Not positive thinking. Not motivational speeches. Jesus, crucified and risen. Because: ✔️ His cross destroys sin ✔️ His blood cleanses the conscience ✔️ His Name breaks bondage ✔️ His Spirit empowers obedience ✔️ His Word renews the mind ✔️ His presence brings rest Everything the believer needs is found in Him. What Happens When Jesus Becomes the Center

Teaching on Genesis 1:28
“Be Fruitful” — פְּרוּ (Peru) God didn’t say, “Try.” He commanded fruit. Fruit means: - Character - Mindset - Ideas - Creativity - Purpose - Vision - Results God built fruit inside you. You’re not trying to become fruitful — you’re already wired for it. “Multiply” — רְבוּ (Rebu) God never intended you to remain the same. Increase is not a blessing — it’s a command. You’re supposed to grow in: - influence - responsibility - faith - maturity - resources - wisdom - impact When you feel the stretching, that’s multiplication beginning. “Fill the Earth” — מִלְאוּ (Mil’u) God wants you to complete what He started in you. Fill the earth with: - His presence - His wisdom - His character - His image - Your assignment - Your gifts - Your testimony Everywhere you go, emptiness should disappear. Every room you walk in should be different because you’re there. “Subdue It” — וְכִבְשֻׁהָ (Kibshuhah) You are not weak. You are not meant to be pushed around mentally, spiritually, or emotionally. Subdue means: - Take control - Set order - Set boundaries - Push back darkness - Conquer chaos - Refuse defeat Anything that fights your destiny must be subdued. “Have Dominion” — רְדוּ (Redu) Dominion is identity. You were created to rule, not react. To govern, not drift. To lead, not follow fear. Dominion means: - You speak with authority - You move with confidence - You live with purpose - You understand your assignment - You walk like a son and daughter of God Dominion is not arrogance — it is stewardship under God. 🔥 Full Devotional Summary God’s first words to humanity were not suggestions. They were identity statements. Produce. Grow. Fill. Conquer. Rule. Every battle you face is the enemy trying to disconnect you from this identity. But God is restoring you back to the Genesis mandate — the reason you exist.
Be still and know that I am god
1. Starting Point: Be Still and Know (Psalm 46:10) Begin the study by reflecting on Psalm 46:10: “Be still, and know that I am God.” Talk about how the secret place begins with stillness—quieting our hearts and minds to recognize God’s presence. This sets the foundation for understanding how revelation and faith are birthed in that place of stillness with Him. 2. Transition to Psalm 91:1-2 Next, move to Psalm 91:1-2: “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.’” Explain that the secret place is a place of safety and intimacy with God, where we find refuge and trust. Emphasize that dwelling there is not just a one-time visit but a lifestyle of continually seeking His presence. 3. Moving to Hebrews 11:1 and Beyond Now, go to Hebrews 11:1: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Discuss how faith grows in the secret place—how it’s in that intimacy with God that we gain assurance and confidence in Him. Continue through Hebrews 11, highlighting that without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6), and that faith is nurtured in the quiet, hidden place of communion with Him. 4. Concluding with Matthew 6: Secret Place Prayer Finally, tie it together with Matthew 6:6: “But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.” Emphasize that the secret place is where we meet God privately, and from that place flows faith, revelation, and the power to walk out our calling. Of course! We can definitely focus just on the scriptures that highlight the importance of the secret place and what flows from it. Let’s dive in: Scriptures on the Secret Place and What Comes From It 1. Psalm 91:1 (NKJV)“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”This verse establishes the secret place as a place of divine protection and intimacy with God. 2. Matthew 6:6 (NKJV)“But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.”This scripture shows that the secret place is where we meet God in private prayer and that from that hidden communion, He brings open rewards. 3. Psalm 27:5 (NKJV)“For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.”Here, the secret place is portrayed as a place of refuge and elevation above difficulties. 4. Colossians 3:3 (NKJV)“For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.”This verse emphasizes that our true life and identity are hidden with Christ, found in that secret place of spiritual union with Him. 5. Proverbs 3:32 (NKJV)“For the perverse person is an abomination to the LORD, but His secret counsel is with the upright.”This highlights that God shares His secret counsel—His deeper wisdom and revelations—with those who walk uprightly and seek Him intimately. 6. Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV)“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”Faith is nurtured in the secret place, where we diligently seek Him and come to know Him more deeply.
