TUESDAY TACTICAL QUESTION 🧤⚽
You’re facing a direct free kick right in the centre, just outside the 18-yard box.
What would you do?
A) Put 4 players in the wall, slightly cover one side of the goal, and position yourself towards the opposite side.
B) Put 3 players in the wall, stay almost central, and trust your reactions.
C) Put 5 players in the wall, cover as much of the goal as possible, and position yourself towards the side you expect the shot to go.
There is no point just guessing — think about:
- where the ball is;
- what part of the goal the wall should protect;
- what side you should take responsibility for;
- how many players you actually need in the wall.
Which answer would you choose — A, B or C — and why?
