If you checked the calendar here, you'll have seen that the European Union is celebrating Europe day today, focusing on unity and long-term peace, commemorating the Schuman Declaration of 1950 that, in part, aimed to make make war between historic rivals France and Germany "not merely unthinkable, but materially impossible".
will honour the day when she joins us at 8.20 today (for a live-stream!) with long-time lover of Portugal Norman, who's been here for around 20 years. Looking forward to meeting him and having our regular Q&A with our favourite Portuguese language and culture teacher. Any questions?
