Electric Vehicles in Portugal
What is the electric vehicle infrastructure like in Portugal? My understanding is that Portugal has one of the highest EV adoption rates in the EU, but lags behind the United States (I believe this is due to tax incentives in the latter). I heard they are supposed to end sale of new internal combustion engined cars in 2030 or 2035. Can anyone on the ground in Portugal give insight into this? Since Portugal is such a small country, I imagine with current EV technology, you can get just about anywhere in the country on a single charge.

Hi @Deleted , for sure there are always some chargers disconnected or waiting for assistance. Nevertheless, moving to EV's it's also changing the mindset. Discipline is required! Instead of charging only when the battery is running out off power - as I always did with previous and non-EV cars - each time I need to stop for something - a meeting, lunch, shop, etc - I look around for a charger, and, meanwhile, I leave the car charging. Regarding trips, besides discipline, planning is also required. In 3,5 years long, I never had an issue regarding battery power, and Tesla trip planning is very accurate and, nowadays, I handle peacefully knowing I'll reach my destination with 6-8% battery, and if the destination is a supercharger, in 50 min I'll be leaving it with 90% battery; on the meanwhile, I can lunch or reply to a couple of emails ;-)

The Model 3 Long Range version it's the one who provides the higher range, and this was my decision factor; nevertheless, also consider the Model Y Long Range (non existing when I bought mine)
