We Have Baby Lemons!
OK, maybe not everyone is as exicted as I am when something fruits that you just weren't sure would. But I have baby lemons on my Myers Lemon Tree๐Ÿ‹. I bought it last summer and have had it in the house over the winter. It bloomed late winter/early Spring and now I have found a few baby lemons. So excited to see how this little experiment continues to grow and surprise me. I do have it in about a 2 gallon container at this point. We'll see how long it goes before I have to give it a larger pot. In the meantime, I am dreaming of fresh squeezed lemonade.๐Ÿ˜‹

National Lemonade Day
As a gardener I love experitmenting by growing something you wouldn't expect to find in a pot or growing in my zone. When it popped up on my calendar that today was National Lemonade Day, I got tickled because my latest experiment is growing a lemon tree in a pot in zone 7A. I've had my little Meyer's lemon tree since last summer (1st pic below) and this spring it bloomed (2nd pci). I have been babying it over the winter months and it appears that this attention is paying off. I plan to move it from it's warm spot in the family room to the deck in the next couple of weeks. Excited to see if I actually get lemons soon. What about you? Is there a plant, a vegetable or a fruit that you've experimented with that typically wouldn't do well in your zone? Share your journey with us.

My Hoya plant is blooming. The flower is very wax like.

A little added information about myself. I am a bilateral hand amputee and this is a picture of me planting my first container using my prosthetics.
