National Sticker Day! Should PGS Have a Monthly Garden Sticker Club? ๐ŸŒฟโœจ
Today is National Sticker Day, and I have to admitโ€ฆ stickers are one of those little joys that never really stop being fun. The only difference as adults is we donโ€™t put them on our homework anymore. We put them on our garden journals, water bottles, seed bins, potting totes, laptop lids, and planter tags. ๐Ÿ˜„ So letโ€™s use this fun little holiday for something bigger: ๐–๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐ข๐Ÿ ๐๐†๐’ ๐ก๐š๐ ๐š ๐Œ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ก๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐†๐š๐ซ๐๐ž๐ง ๐’๐ญ๐ข๐œ๐ค๐ž๐ซ ๐‚๐ฅ๐ฎ๐›? Not โ€œrandom stickersโ€โ€ฆ but container-gardener stickers that feel like us. A small, low-cost way to support the communityโ€ฆ and a fun way to keep gardening motivation visible all month long. ๐จ๐ซ ๐†๐š๐ซ๐๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ Stickers arenโ€™t just cute. Theyโ€™re weirdly useful: ๐Ÿ) ๐“๐ก๐ž๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐š๐ค๐ž ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐Ÿ๐ž๐ž๐ฅ ๐Ÿ๐ฎ๐ง If you use a planner, notebook, or calendar, stickers can turn โ€œI should plan my gardenโ€ into โ€œOoooh, let me open my garden book.โ€ ๐Ÿ) ๐“๐ก๐ž๐ฒ ๐ง๐ฎ๐๐ ๐ž ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ฒ ๐œ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ง๐ญ When you see โ€œWater Wednesdayโ€ or โ€œSeed Starting Modeโ€ on your tote or shelf, itโ€™s a gentle reminderโ€”without feeling like a chore. ๐Ÿ‘) ๐“๐ก๐ž๐ฒ ๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐ข๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ + ๐›๐ž๐ฅ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง๐  This is the big one. Bird of paradise needs to rise up again
I just removed the entire plant from 40 yrs of growth/death. Iโ€™m cleaning all the old dead roots and since itโ€™s supposed to rain soon, I want to create that cavity it was in, dump my entire cooler of soil & coco coir plus vermiculite and Leca if needed. Once it back in place, should I let it rest? Let the rain do its job in settling it in? It has never been fertilized EVER! I have a few pups with no roots that I can see so can I possibly add liquid growth to water and pray?
