Nine days ago, my laptop decided it had had enough of this affiliate marketing nonsense and promptly crashed. I suspect it joined a witness protection programme, maybe because it knew how I sometimes shouted at ChappieGTP.
In an instant, without prior warning, I simply lost access to:
Creating content
Making images for lead magnets
Following up with people
Commenting strategically
Scheduling posts
Pretty much everything that normally happens from my laptop!
For a brief moment, I considered a dramatic career change. Seriously, I considered becoming a full-time Granny Grommet!! (The (elderly) ladies with their boogie boards who brave the waves every Wednesday morning). Its quite a thing where I live!
But then I remembered something important...
Success isn't built on perfect conditions. It's built on continuing anyway.
So while I scurried to secure finance and purchase a new laptop, I kept showing up.
I shared posts from my phone, I commented in groups when I could. I engaged with people wherever possible. I even remembered to log my daily activities (most days) on the Funnel Junkies Club.
And when I couldn't do that? I watched training. I caught up on Skool lessons. I binge-watched Alex Hormozi videos. I did a lot of thinking, planning, repositioning, and back-to-the-drawing-board work.
What I realised is that sometimes progress doesn't look like visible action.
Sometimes progress looks like: Learning, Reflecting, Refining, Preparing for the next season.
No commissions were generated by staring thoughtfully into the distance, but I suspect some valuable groundwork was laid. 😄
Thankfully, I now have a shiny new laptop and a second chance to confuse technology in entirely new ways.
  • I am ready turn all those ideas, plans, and half-finished scribbles into actual results.
Lesson learned: When Plan A crashes, don't crash with it.
Keep moving forward, even if the only thing you can do that day is learn something new.
