Does traveling affect your progress?
I canโ€™t tell you how many times I hear โ€œIโ€™ll be out of town next week so Iโ€™ll get back on track once I get homeโ€ or some version of that. The thing is, one of the best tests of your health is how you MAINTAIN it while out of your normal routine. This doesnโ€™t mean you canโ€™t have fun and โ€œsplurgeโ€ if you feel called to that, but if itโ€™s at the cost of your health how worth it is it really? I still have tons of fun when Iโ€™m out of town and what helps me have fun and enjoy is actually STAYING on my usual nutrition/wellness routine. Because when I donโ€™t symptoms pop up and I get uncomfortable and then Iโ€™m not even having fun at all nor do I feel cute in my outfits I packed for my trip. And let's face it girls, feeling cute in our outfits is a big deal. Now look, I know it can be temping sometimes. I was just at a 2 day seminar and they served lunch both days and the last day there was a cocktail hour with a dessert table.ย (and yes a cocktail hour at a health seminar ๐Ÿคฏ) And GUESS WHAT?! None of it was healthy! There were some semi healthy aspects, but there was probably seed oils and other additives in the food. This was a non issue for me because I packed my own food and planned ahead. For those that were planning on eating the food provided Iโ€™m sure it was an issue, but not having any other options they concluded with โ€œoh well Iโ€™ll just eat it.โ€ The biggest lesson I have learned with eating out and eating when traveling is always expect places NOT to having a healthy option. This way Iโ€™m always prepared. If they happened to have something I could have great! I can save what I brought for later. But going hungry and waiting until later to eat is never a smart option. Because you WILL end up making a worse choice out of being overly hungry. You NEVER want your hunger to get ahead of you because then it controls you and the choices you make. What are ways you keep your health on track when traveling?? Any hacks you have that youโ€™d like to share??๐Ÿ’ซ

Gratitude for the highs and lows of my female hormones?!
This morning Nash came and sat next to me on the couch with such intention and looked up at me, as he does many times a day. I started crying. It was so sweet my emotions couldnโ€™t. I remembered Iโ€™m in my luteal phase, and I sat there in gratitude for being able to experience all the emotions that come with the different phases of my female hormones. Funny enough, my period came moments later.ย ๐Ÿฅฒ Womenโ€™s hormones never cease to amaze me.ย ๐ŸŒธ The more Iโ€™ve learned about all the highs and lows of them Iโ€™ve gained such a deeper appreciation of them. Even the lower parts of the hormone cycles that arenโ€™t quite as fun as the follicular phase (if you know what I mean ๐Ÿ˜‰). Iโ€™ve recently been in this mental state of deep gratitude. I find myself in the middle of something, like on a run or crying about how sweet Nash is, and pausing and feeling grateful for being able to experience this thing. Being grateful for the phase in life I am now. It may not be where I want to be or where I thought Iโ€™d be by now in certain ways, but Iโ€™m still so genuinely grateful! How do you find yourself pausing and practicing gratitude?๐Ÿ˜Œ
