I’ve missed you… and I’m back with a gift 🌞 (30% off inside!)✨
Hi friends, Long time no see! I know I’ve been completely MIA here since April, which totally went against my intention of being more present with you all and sharing my Friday “Taylor Takes.” Truthfully, everything fell to the back burner when I had the idea to create The Sunshine Diet course. It became a full-on labor of love, and I poured so much of my energy and focus into bringing it to life. That said, I don’t want this community to feel left behind. To celebrate being back and to thank you for being here, I’m offering you something special: ✨ 30% off The Sunshine Diet ✨ Use code FRUITGIRL at checkout. Offer ends October 1st. This course is truly from my heart, it’s about learning to use light as a healing tool in your daily life, something we all have access to every single day when we step outside. Inside, you’ll learn how to embrace sunlight in a smart, healthy, and transformative way. I can’t wait for you to experience it. Thank you for being here and for letting me share this journey with you. 🌞 With love, Taylor

@Julia S good to know!! 😉
I drank out of a plastic water bottle for the first time… in AGES
On Friday night I went out dancing. 🪩💃🏼🕺🏻 Before, I went to my favorite spot in LA, Kavahana for some Kava nectar drinks! If you aren’t familiar with Kava, let me know! I can do a post about it! I also had the founders of Kavahana on my podcast a while back! 🎙️ Unfortunately, there are no early bird dance spots here in LA or maybe anywhere? Someone needs to get on that, I think it would be super popular! 😉 So if I am in the mood to go dancing I have to stay up past my bedtime. And every once in a while I have an itch to go out dancing! Disco balls and all! It’s good for the soul! My friend and I were out hyped up dancing on Kava nectar, and I got a bit dehydrated and needed water. My options: tap water or plastic bottled water. Normally I’d have a jar of juice on me and this wouldn’t be a factor. But I didn’t bring juice (rookie mistake). 🤦🏼‍♀️ I went with the plastic bottled water with 250,000ppm of microplastics.😑 Tap is just more toxic and tastes terrible. 🤢 It dawned on me though that I hadn’t drank water out of plastic in years! And rather than freak out about drinking out of the plastic, I was proud of myself for being so consistent for so many years! 🌟 I felt that this was a good reminder that we don’t need to be perfect all the time. Just be as consistent as you possibly can and be proud of that! 🥳

Does traveling affect your progress?
I can’t tell you how many times I hear “I’ll be out of town next week so I’ll get back on track once I get home” or some version of that. The thing is, one of the best tests of your health is how you MAINTAIN it while out of your normal routine. This doesn’t mean you can’t have fun and “splurge” if you feel called to that, but if it’s at the cost of your health how worth it is it really? I still have tons of fun when I’m out of town and what helps me have fun and enjoy is actually STAYING on my usual nutrition/wellness routine. Because when I don’t symptoms pop up and I get uncomfortable and then I’m not even having fun at all nor do I feel cute in my outfits I packed for my trip. And let's face it girls, feeling cute in our outfits is a big deal. Now look, I know it can be temping sometimes. I was just at a 2 day seminar and they served lunch both days and the last day there was a cocktail hour with a dessert table. (and yes a cocktail hour at a health seminar 🤯) And GUESS WHAT?! None of it was healthy! There were some semi healthy aspects, but there was probably seed oils and other additives in the food. This was a non issue for me because I packed my own food and planned ahead. For those that were planning on eating the food provided I’m sure it was an issue, but not having any other options they concluded with “oh well I’ll just eat it.” The biggest lesson I have learned with eating out and eating when traveling is always expect places NOT to having a healthy option. This way I’m always prepared. If they happened to have something I could have great! I can save what I brought for later. But going hungry and waiting until later to eat is never a smart option. Because you WILL end up making a worse choice out of being overly hungry. You NEVER want your hunger to get ahead of you because then it controls you and the choices you make. What are ways you keep your health on track when traveling?? Any hacks you have that you’d like to share??💫
