Burnout isn’t always about overworking. It’s about being overwhelmed internally. When your system is dysregulated, no amount of free time can restore you. What you actually need is nervous system capacity.. the ability to hold more without frying your circuits.
Rest works when your body believes it’s safe to rest.
Until then, it’s just a pause, not recovery.
What’s one thing that actually makes you feel safe to rest, without guilt?
For me, it's when I remind my guilty and inner child part that they wont get in trouble like when I was a kid. and that gives a full body sigh like phew okay I can relax.
