The Non-Negotiables
A few years ago I attended a conference in Dallas. Brian and I were up early getting our workout in and on our way back we stopped for coffee and ran into a few of the other women I knew who were also there for the conference. One of them commented about the fact that we were 'up early and at the gym' even when we travel. I responded with - 'the gym is a non-negotiable'. They looked at me like I was nuts and used the word 'non-negotiable' in other conversations with me throughout the weekend.
Why is having non-negotiables important?
They are the things you're committed to NO MATTER WHAT. Life gets busy and we end up dealing with unexpected stress or last minute travel or some other curve ball that comes our way. The non-negotiables keep you grounded, balanced and feeling good even during the chaos.
