Did you know?
During sleep, your body burns around 2-4 cups of water, that’s why hydrating when you wake up is so important- Also, while we’re at it Getting sunlight ASAP every morning is also very important for our circadian rhythm, the body’s natural internal clock that helps regulate hormones, which affects our energy levels and our mood through the day. If this rhythm is out of wack, we get our daily boost of seratonin when the day is almost over, instead of early in the day. This is what they don’t teach you in school, but they do on Skool!

Ever heard someone mention your gut health? Some interesting science is being done on this subject. Your gut biome is directly connected to your brain health through your nervous system. The Gut-brain axis is a communication network linking your gut and brain, influencing everything from digestion to mood and mental health. Basically, the gut sends signals to the brain, and vice versa, which can affect how you feel and your overall health. I just found that really interesting so I thought I’d share :) - There are a few ways to take care of your gut health: - *Talking to your doctor about it is always the first thing you should do* - Eating yogurt or taking a probiotic - Getting good fiber (bananas, asparagus, onions, garlic) - Meditate to reduce stress - Get good sleep, track it if you want it - Drinking water when you wake up and with meals.

You have to find balance.. but you can’t force it. Everything in life ebbs and flows, that’s a good way to think about it. Friends and family, relationships and emotions, health and hormones come and go. This is natural, that doesn’t mean it’s easy. There’s a philosophy called Wu Wei, which just means go with the flow. Let life do its thing. As long as you’re making small improvements everyday, focusing on things you can control, it makes it easier to accept the things that aren’t in your control. Take action- Just for fun, make a list of things that are in your control, and a list of things out of your control!

Arguably Jordan Peterson’s best advice-
Sit on the edge of your bed and ask yourself, genuinely ask yourself, what’s something you’re doing that you know you shouldn’t be doing, that you could stop, that you would stop doing. This is the best, easiest, cheapest way to begin improving your life. That, and cleaning your room :)
