I need a quick fix to implement a good shield wrap around a cell phone, to totally isolate it from hearing incoming calls.
I tested ordinary kitchen alum foil and it can work after a fashion, but failed at the slightest gap anywhere around the phone. Even a full wrap of several turns around the long axis of the phone, and bending over the end tails top and bottom, if several layers around the long edges of the phone, if you do not close tightly the final edge tightly, in my case, enough signal gets through to ring the cell device when rung from another phone. Appears that making that final layer edge lay tight over the previous wrap is needed.
So, Do retail stores sell a clam shell case that might resemble a eyeglass case, that is a tight faraday shield for a phone iside? Some better than others? --PJB
