Seize the Day
As we age, the passing of time seems all too fast. I have 2 kids out of the house and 2 still here (for the time being). I can hear the whispers- "cherish this time...it is going by fast...create and cherish meaningful moments." Although I am sure Jere' and I will enjoy each other in new ways as empty nesters, I want to enjoy today as much as possible. One of my favorite movies is Dead Poet's Society. Robin Williams character teaches Carpe Diem to his students- Seize the Day. As I grow older, I believe this to be an important philosophy. Work on being present this week. Put down your devices. Really be available to your loved ones. Make sure they know by deed and by words their place in your life and your heart. Tell us who does this for you. Who makes you feel important every time you walk in the room? Then, work on doing this for others and tell us about your efforts.
