3 steps to the perfect us vs them ad
TLDR: Everyone's seen the us vs them format. Almost nobody does it right. Here's the 3-step version that actually converts, using this Liquid Death ad (running since May) as the example. Step 1: Pick the one number where you win biggest. Liquid Death didn't list 10 stats. They picked sugar: 2g vs 39g. One brutal, undeniable gap. Find the single stat where the gap is embarrassing and make it the hero. If you need five stats to win, you don't have an angle. Step 2: Write the headline for the skeptic. "You won't believe it's not soda." That's not describing the product, that's answering the one reason someone wouldn't buy. Write down the #1 doubt your customer has, then make that your headline. Six words beats sixty. Step 3: Let the creative carry the proof. The chart does all the selling, so the copy is eight words. The asterisk makes it believable. If your image already proves it, don't repeat it in the text. Always show your work, fine print turns hype into proof. That's the formula. One killer stat, one skeptic headline, proof in the creative. Run it until it stops working.

3 steps to the perfect us vs them ad
Stop asking what the best campaign structure is.
Structure feels like control. It feels like the right setup gets rewarded by the algorithm. Meta's pitch for three years has been the opposite: bring good creative and broad audiences, and the system handles the rest. The tinkering era is over. The rule is simple. One campaign, broad, simple. Then put the energy into ten more angles instead of rebuilding ad sets. That's the lever.

Please start testing loss aversion ads
People are roughly twice as motivated to avoid losing something as they are to gain the same thing. Psychologists call it loss aversion, marketers call it free money. So instead of "Get smoother skin," you write "Stop letting dry skin age you faster." Same product, but the copy changes how the prospect percives their need to buy it. One promises a nice thing, the other threatens something they're already scared of. Attached is a real ad running right now that does exactly this. Look at how the headline leads with what you lose, not what you gain.

Your offer is holding you back
I get this DM too often not to make a post lol. A marketer or business owner tells they’ve rebuilt their campaigns like four times, new angles, new structure, all of it. Still can't get past breakeven. So I ask to see the offer and it's literally just a product page. Nothing bundled, no gift, no guarantee, nothing telling me why I should buy right now. Yes… creative matters, but it only multiplies whatever your offer already is. If the offer's weak there's nothing to multiply. Throw in a free gift, bundle the thing, put a guarantee on it, give people an actual reason to buy today. Then worry about your campaign structure. I've never seen a mid offer with amazing creative beat a killer offer with average creative. Not once.
