KTM 450 , Flat Track Exhausts
comprised of 18 and 20 gauge 304 stainless steel- with a 18 gauge titanium canister
The exhausts have a resonance chamber just before the muffler. A resonance chamber is designed to reduce sound decibel of the exhaust. They are a hollow chamber with small holes drilled into the header allowing sound pulses to bounce in and out.
The 18g 304 TIG welding settings:
36 amps
#16 cup
1/16” tungsten 2 % Ceriated
35 cfh through cup
5 cfh purge
1.3 sec pre flow
12 sec post flow
.035” supermissile filler
