Chromoly is a commonly used alloy in the high-end fabrication world. You will see it most frequently applied in chassis or structural environments. The alloy is very strong, and can endure a workload overtime without tempering or changing molecularly. Now, as any material- there is a shelf life- in the motorsports world you will find that chassis will "relax" over time- losing some of its stiffness. As far as weldability, this is my setup- generically speaking. Susceptible to change depending on material thickness, or weld joint. - #14 Weld Cup - 30 CFH Argon - 1.2 Pre-Flow - 12 Post Flow - 3/32" 2% Ceriated Tungsten - 1/16" ER70 or ER80 Filler - 4 Rips per Joint (Connect Tacks at 90 degree Increments)

Just finished the Tig Welding Mastery classes! Loved it. Packed with useful info and I believe anyone at any level could benefit from this course. Well thought out and put together.

I am excited to be a part of this community to expand my knowledge and experience in tig welding/fabrication. I have been tig welding as hobbyist for 2 years and with joining this course i want to achieve elite level welding. I love the motorsport of drifting as my main fabrication goal, but enjoy anything on wheels! So everyone lets go and get It 🤝

Just joined and excited to get started. Posting some pics of my latest side quest- a heart for my girlfriend made out of scrap 1x1 tube I had laying around. Was fun to work out all the angles and a bit of a challenge to get both sides symmetrical. I finished tacking it tonight. It will be finish welded, orbital sanded, painted, and powdercoated clear. Will post more pics as it gets closer to done.
