Knocked Down, Still Here
I believe in everyone — sometimes a little too much. What I mean by too much is that I pour a lot into a person and end up getting let down. I know many of you here are the same.
.
Just because I’ve been let down doesn’t take away the belief I still have in them.
.
They are still far better than they think they are. They just haven’t hit that point yet — the moment that makes them say, this is it. It’s time to change. It’s time to push harder. They are here for a reason, not just passing through a season. Most haven’t seen that yet. Doubts keep them back. Comfort, friends, and the feeling that the world owes them something keep them blind to it.
.
I hold high expectations of myself. When I don’t meet them, I can drop into a downtrend fast. By default that same standard spills onto the people around me. But not everyone is ready to hunt their goals like their life actually has meaning. Not everyone is ready to believe they belong here on purpose.
.
That’s one of the reasons not many people stay in my circle.
.
What I’ve found matters most on the way to anything great is the ability to get back up. Because damn, I’ve been knocked down a lot. Wars. Struggles. Dark nights where the question sneaks in: why am I even here? Getting back up is what has carried me this far. The blocks were building a better me. The setbacks were a season. The reason had to stay bigger than the season.
.
I have people who listen to me now. I have many who are rooting for me. I have many fighting their own battles right alongside me — still showing up, still breathing, still here.
.
Dark times come, over and over. Struggle grows with any real journey. That part doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you’re actually on the path. The ones who last aren’t the ones who never fall. They’re the ones who refuse to stay down when it gets heavy, when the belief from others fades, when even their own voice gets quiet.
.
As long as you’re breathing, you’re still here for a reason.
.
Keep going. Keep showing up with intention. The version of you that hasn’t arrived yet is still worth believing in. So is the version of them. Don’t waste the chances. Don’t let the doubt win. Better than yesterday is the recipe. The rest is just a season.
.
Happy ##MusicalMonday Turn it up and get back up!
