Small Wins - Part Two
Now that you are tracking your small wins - right?, let's connect them to your big goals.
1. CONNECTING SMALL WINS TO BIG GOALS — HOW AI SHOWS YOU THE LINE
One of the most motivating things you can do is see clearly how the small daily disciplines connect to the big results you're working toward. Most people can't see that line, not because it isn't there, but because the gap between today's small action and next year's big result feels too wide to visualize.
AI helps you draw that line explicitly.
THE GOAL CONNECTION PROMPT: "My big goal for this year is: [describe your goal — growing your Skool community, building your reputation as the AI expert in hospitality, replacing a certain revenue stream, building a portfolio of SOPs]. Here are the small wins I've captured over the last month: [paste your captures]. Show me specifically how each of these small wins is contributing to my bigger goal, even if the connection isn't obvious. Then identify the two or three small actions I should focus on next month that are most likely to compound into meaningful progress toward the big goal."
This prompt does something important: it makes the daily work feel purposeful rather than procedural. When you can see that the prompt you learned last Tuesday is connected to the client you'll land in six months, the daily effort feels different.
2. USING YOUR WIN LOG AS A PROFESSIONAL ASSET
Here's a dimension of small win tracking that most people never think about: your accumulated win log is one of the most useful professional documents you'll ever build. It is a living record of your growth, your achievements, and your capabilities written in real time, not reconstructed from memory when you need it.
Consider what you can do with it:
YOUR NEXT PERFORMANCE REVIEW: Instead of trying to remember what you accomplished this year, you have a month-by-month log of specific wins with context. You walk into that conversation with evidence, not impressions.
YOUR NEXT PROPOSAL OR PITCH: "Here are three specific things I've done in the last six months that demonstrate exactly why I'm the right person for this event" is a significantly stronger position than "I have 30 years of experience."
YOUR LINKEDIN CONTENT: Every win in your log is a potential post. The vendor who came through, the AI prompt that saved the day, the difficult conversation that preserved the relationship. Your win log is a content calendar hiding in plain sight.
YOUR OWN RESILIENCE: On the hard days, and in this industry there are hard days, our win log is proof. Proof that you've handled difficult things before. Proof that you're more capable than the current moment is making you feel. Proof that the work is working even when it doesn't feel like it.
AI APPLICATION
WIN LOG ORGANIZATION: "Help me set up a monthly win log system I can maintain consistently. I want to track wins across three categories: professional achievements, process improvements and skills built, and personal and mindset growth. Create a simple monthly template I can fill in weekly, with a section for my top three wins of the month and one reflection question to answer at the end of each month. Keep it simple enough that I'll actually use it."
Build this template. Start filling it in this week. Don't wait for a bigger win to begin.
3. THE CULTURE OF WINS — BRINGING THIS INTO YOUR TEAM
Everything we've talked about so far applies to you individually. But if you lead a team, even a small one, there's a dimension to small win tracking that goes beyond personal motivation. Teams that celebrate small wins together build something that no budget or incentive program can manufacture: genuine momentum. The shared sense that things are moving, that the work matters, that the people around you are growing alongside you. And in an industry where burnout is real and turnover is high, that culture is a genuine competitive advantage. AI helps you build it.
TEAM WIN CAPTURE: Start every weekly team meeting with two minutes of wins. Each person shares one win from the week, no matter how small. AI can help you build the meeting agenda template that makes this a standing ritual rather than an afterthought.
PROMPT TO USE: "Create a weekly team meeting agenda template for a small event planning team that opens with a two-minute wins round, covers active event status updates, addresses any cross-team issues or decisions needed, and closes with priorities for the coming week. Keep the total meeting time to 30 minutes. Format as a reusable template with time allocations for each section."
THE MONTHLY TEAM WIN SUMMARY: At the end of each month, compile your team's wins into a one-page summary and share it with leadership or your client. It demonstrates your team's value in concrete terms and builds internal visibility for the work your department actually does.
PROMPT TO USE: "Based on these team wins from this month [paste list], write a one-page monthly team performance summary suitable for sharing with senior leadership. Highlight key achievements, improvements made, challenges overcome, and the overall momentum of the team. Tone should be confident and professional as this is an opportunity to demonstrate the value of the events team, not just report activity."
The teams that get funded, resourced, and recognized are almost never the ones doing the best work in isolation. They're the ones making their work visible consistently, professionally, and with evidence.
Small wins, tracked and shared, are how you do that.
THIS WEEK'S COMMUNITY CHALLENGE + QUESTION CHALLENGE:
Use the Daily Win Capture prompt from point 3 every day this week - just three minutes at the end of each workday. By Friday, run the Weekly Win Review prompt from point 4 on everything you captured.
Share what surprised you most about what you actually accomplished. Then come back and tell us:
What is one small win from your work this week, right now, today, that you almost didn't count as a win? Drop it in the comments. I want this thread to be full of wins by the end of the week. Because I guarantee that what this community has accomplished this week individually and together is more than any of us are giving ourselves credit for. See you in there.
