💙 Help Skool Help YOU! (Re: Growth Boost)
If you're a Skool group owner who sends traffic to your Skool about page and/or you want more members to find your group, this new program could be really important to know about. On Tuesday, Skool announced this new program: the Growth Boost. Video 1 shared at the bottom of this post explains it in more detail, but here's the summary along with some helpful resources. ⬇️ ➡️ THE FULL SCOOP ABOUT GROWTH BOOST: - Skool is now sending paid ad traffic to Skool groups, both directly to groups and to the Discovery. - If Skool gets you paid members from the Skool Network, you will pay a 30% commission much like paying an affiliate. If it's a one-time payment, you will pay once. (for classroom and/or membership purchases) If it's a recurring membership, it will be recurring. - If they don't get you paid members, you will not pay anything for the ads running to your Skool. - Attribution is on a group-by-group basis, so if you own multiple groups, the source can be different for the same member in different groups. - This is likely to massively increase the number of Skool users over time because they're diverting ad spend from getting new Skool group owners, to getting new members for existing Skool groups. - As it is currently designed, the Skool network includes visitors who find you from the Discovery, from Skool ads, from the recommended groups side bar in Hobby groups, and from visiting your profile. - More info about traffic sources here >> https://help.skool.com/article/226-traffic-sources - 💖 Full Disclosure: I personally was initially less than thrilled that profile visits are included in this mix because these are typically the result of making connections in Skool. I believe the Skool Network OVERALL will grow so much, however, that this will only be for everyone's benefit and that there would be more friends to connect with on Skool. I believe that the math works out here overall. ➡️ WHEN YOU WILL *NOT* BE CHARGED FOR GROWTH BOOST MEMBERS:

OK. I want to share what could be BY FAR the most EPIC way to get paid advertising that WORKS to attract amazing SUPER-Skoolers into your world! But first. This really requires a touch of the back story to connect the dots and add context. - October 10. I woke up with an INTENSE thought about a group that I needed to open. (This would go on to be Connect & Collab.) - October 11. I opened the new group really quietly and first invited friends and clients to join. I decided to stay focused on word of mouth this time. - October 19. We started our FIRST group challenge, and it was LIT. Our members LOVED IT!! (There are STILL members going through it!) - October 21. Evelyn started the Skool Traffic Challenge, and I get even BETTER at tracking metrics! I GOT THE STAR DURING THE CHALLENGE!! - Anyways, over the last two months, we grew to hundreds of members who are freaking AMAZING. I wake up excited to come to Skool. (I mean, I do other things too. I have a full life most days. BUT I LOVE SKOOL and love my group so hard.) - But before yesterday, I think our biggest growth day was 12 members in the same day. That's still 12 whole humans but nothing crazy! - Flash forward to FRIDAY. I'm in this guy's EPIC group (it's called "The Skool Hub" and is highly recommended if you want a place where you can promote your Skool group anytime!!), and I see he has a new program where you can pay to pin a post. I figured. WHY NOT? THIS IS A GREAT IDEA! I snagged a pinned post straight away! - IT WORKS LIKE THIS: you pay for a pinned post in the classroom, then pop him over the text. He posts it FOR YOU so that the notifications go out to his thousands of members who are following him. And then it is also pinned for 24 hours!

💖 TIPS for Growing a Skool Group with AFFILIATES! 💰
OK, Skoolers!! Are you sleeping on the affiliate program? IT'S SO GOOD! I've had lots of conversations about affiliates this week, and I want to start one right here and now. Because we're ALL community builders, I bet that what I'm about to describe matches many of YOUR personalities too?! PERSONALLY... my business model is built on relationships and collaborations. One of the cool parts about communities is that we get to grow *together*. All of my easiest successes have been built on the foundation of collaborations (guest post swaps, affiliate programs, co-hosted workshops, promoting friends offers, giveaways to gamify sharing and make it extra FUN). AND ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 19, WE WON THE SKOOL GAMES!!! But here is the crazy part that's super related to this conversation... when I did the numbers, it was super emotional and humbling and just freaking AMAZING to see it in black and white... 🎉🎉 WE WON FROM REFERRALS! 🎉🎉 The numbers PROVE IT = without referrals, we would *not* have won. Our sweet little group of only a few hundred members had 183 members join with affiliate links (I just looked it up). More than half! 🫶 I want to share some tips BUT ALSO if you are doing well with too, please don't hoard your good ideas. Share them with us!! ➡️ SOME TIPS TO GROW WITH AFFILIATES: (some of these might be obvious, just feels like they need to be said anyways) - RUN FUN AFFILIATE CONTESTS! We've done a couple merch contests for top affiliates, and this just feels FUN! I want to do something fun again soon but haven't quite decided if we'll switch it up. Our members did vote on wanting merch, so it was fun to just do the same thing a second time. (We do so love Skool!) - HAVE FUN, TIMELY EVENTS HAPPENING. This makes it easy for a member to say "hey, there's [xyz] happening tomorrow/next week/whenever!" - MAINTAIN TRULY SOLID RELATIONSHIPS. When friends and colleagues "know, like, and trust" you because they see you showing up with the goods day after day AND caring about them for real... it's a given that they will want to send friends your way. Just like you will do the same in their direction! This is nature! - HAVE A GREAT GROUP. You need to have a genuinely good group for this to work. It has to be fun, active, and generous! In my opinion, it's also super important to avoid engagement bait posts and instead keep the community focused on meaningful connection and growth for your chosen community topic. - ALLOW + ENCOURAGE AFFILIATE LINKS. We are promo-positive and affiliate-positive. The culture is wayyy too strong for it to get spammy, thank goodness. BUT basically... our policy is that if you are sharing about a group, affiliate links are ALWAYS OK. (It's the default anyways when you click the "Invite people" button in Skool.) - RELATED TO THIS, ENCOURAGE *SHARING* WITH THE LINK. I tell members often... when you share... I hope you will use your affiliate link because I want to be able to easily thank you!

Tiers Live Today!
Want to join the discussion to CHAT ABOUT TIERS?! - Posted about this in Skoolers here... then seconds later tiers went live! WOW! - Discuss this on the post in the Connect & Collab group here WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT TIERS SO FAR...! (and FYI --> the demo is SPOT ON with reality. GREAT JOB SKOOL TEAM!) 1. We'll have a "freemium option" and a "2-3 paid tiers" option. 2. In the freemium option: in addition to "free", we'll have "premium" and "VIP" 3. Previous paid and free members, we'll be able to send right on into one of the tiers (right?!) 4. The price that will show on the about page will be the LOWEST price available 5. We'll be able to have course unlocks now via: manual unlock, everyone has access, paid upgrade, premium/VIP upgrade, access to course 6. In the case of a premium/VIP unlock for a course, when a member clicks the course, they'll see a blurb + invite to upgrade and unlock 7. Then they'll see the membership options and a way to get immediate access 8. We'll also have calendar event unlocks!! 9. The calendar button will go to the same place
