Hey everyone. 👋
I’ve been banging my head against the wall with this one ecom account for weeks. We had winning creatives, but every time I tried to push the budget, the CPA went through the roof. I know you guys know the feeling—it's exhausting.
Over the weekend, I re-watched the Scaling module in the academy and realized I was making a rookie mistake. I was basically "choking" my own ads by being too aggressive with the budget on the live campaign.
So, I switched gears. Instead of editing the live campaign, I just duplicated the structure.
The difference was immediate. Today alone, the account spent $520, and the ROAS stayed steady above 3.0.
If you're fighting that January volatility, try this: When you have a winner, don't touch it. Just duplicate it into a fresh campaign with the higher budget from day one. Sometimes the algorithm just needs a clean slate rather than trying to recalculate on the fly.
If anyone has questions on how I set up the ad sets, let me know in the comments and I'll break it down. 👇
