Back to school also means back to our Teachers for Peace community — and this year, we want it to be about more than simply teaching classes. There are lots of ways to get involved: teach a regular class, offer a one-off workshop, share a skill, help with a project, support another teacher, or simply bring an idea to the community. We also want to start creating more opportunities for our teachers — including practical workshops on topics like how to use AI in teaching, lesson planning, digital tools, creativity, and working with international learners. You do not have to commit to a huge schedule to be part of this. One class, one workshop, one idea, or one hour can make a difference. 🌍 As we settle into the new school year, we would love to hear from you: 💬 What would you like to teach, learn, or contribute this term? It has been a bit of a crazy back-to-school start, and I know I’ve been a little behind these past few months. Thank you for bearing with me. Whenever someone joins our Teachers for Peace teaching community — free or paid — I always think there must have been something that brought you here. Maybe you wanted to teach, connect with other educators, share a skill, or simply be part of something meaningful. That trust really matters to me, and I don’t want anyone to join and then wonder, Okay… now what? 😅 So I’d love to get this community talking again. I’ve also just started a new job teaching at a school, and after years of being used to smaller classes, and online classes,: teaching big groups of high school students is definitely stretching me! So I’ll start with a question for you: What is your best advice for keeping a big group of teenagers engaged and actually speaking?
