📣 Teachers... I need your help!
I've been surrounded by boxes 📦 all week while moving house, and I completely missed our Tuesday and Wednesday calls. 😭 So... next week we're making up for it! ☕ Tuesday, 11th August | 4:00 PM (Madrid) Our Teacher Coffee & Connect is back! But before we meet... 👇 Answer ONE question in the comments: If you could wave a magic wand, what would help you most as a teacher this year? ❤️ Better lesson ideas? 🤖 Learning to use AI? 🌍 Connecting with teachers from around the world? 🎥 Creating your own online course? 💰 Making extra income from your teaching? 🧘 Avoiding burnout? 💬 Something else? There are no wrong answers. I genuinely want to build this community around what YOU need. ⭐ Wednesday – VIP Teacher Hub For our VIP members, we're going one step further. We're building a community that doesn't just help learners... it helps teachers grow too. So here's my question for you... 👇 If we could bring in ONE expert to run a masterclass just for VIP members, who would you choose? What would you love to learn? 🎨 Canva? 🤖 AI? 📱 Social media? 💼 Starting your own academy? 🎤 Public speaking? 🧠 Trauma-informed teaching? 💰 Funding, grants or fundraising? 📚 Something completely different? Drop your ideas below! The Teacher Hub belongs to all of us, and I want to build it around what will help you become the best educator you can be. See you Tuesday! ❤️ Jennifer
📣 Teachers... I need your help!
Oh my goodness... where do I even begin? 😂
This community has grown so much over the last few months, and I suddenly realized... I never actually told you who I am! So... hi! I'm Jennifer, and I'm writing from a little town near Barcelona, Spain. 🇪🇸 I'm an American who was born and raised in Mexico City, and these days I live just outside Barcelona, Spain, with my husband, our three children, a dog, a cat, a uromastyx, and a ball python. Needless to say... our house is never boring! 😂 I've been teaching English for more than 20 years, but here's something that usually surprises people... I hated school. Not learning—I loved learning. I hated that school often expected everyone to learn the same way. I was fascinated by questions like... Why do some children thrive while others struggle? How does the brain actually learn? What makes a lesson unforgettable? Those questions led me to study Educational Psychology at Endicott College in Boston, and they've shaped every classroom I've ever taught. Sixteen years ago, I opened my own language school in Spain. I thought I'd probably spend the rest of my career happily teaching English. Then, in February 2022, everything changed. A friend in Ukraine asked if I could teach a few children online. Of course I said yes. I never imagined that one class would grow into Teachers for Peace. Today, we're a global community of volunteer educators who have delivered more than 3,750 free online lessons to 700+ learners, supported by 70+ volunteer teachers across 20+ countries. Some of our teachers live in countries affected by war. Some teach in rural communities. Some work in public schools, language schools, or universities. Others have retired but still want to make a difference. What connects us isn't where we come from—it's what we believe. That education changes lives. And that teachers have an incredible ability to create hope, confidence, and opportunity. That's why I wanted to create this Hub. Not another place filled with endless notifications or perfect-looking classrooms.
Oh my goodness... where do I even begin? 😂
💙💛 Ukraine Students — We Want to Hear From YOU!
We are getting ready for the next chapter of Teachers for Peace, and before we decide what new classes, clubs and courses to create... we want to ask the most important people: YOU. 😊 What do you actually want to learn? What makes it difficult to join classes? What would you LOVE to see at TFP? What should always be available for free? And what could we do better? We've made a short survey for our Ukrainian students. It will only take a few minutes, and your answers will directly help us plan our new classes and courses. There are no right or wrong answers. Please be honest — we really want to know what you think! 💙💛 👉 Fill in the survey here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdrJ-C259lOTkxbPGK5fE_QD18gtMdnua5BT2_0UwX2RxdblA/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=103642998701107649686 Thank you for helping us build the next TFP with you, not just for you. ❤️ Stay tuned because we have an amazing September in the making.

☀️ Anyone up for a Summer Teacher Coffee Chat?
It's been a little quiet here over the summer... and honestly, that's okay. ❤️ I know many of you are enjoying a well-earned break, finishing summer camps, travelling, or simply taking time to recharge before another school year begins. But I thought it might be nice to get together for an informal catch-up. No presentations. No training. No pressure. Just teachers from around the world sharing ideas, stories, and maybe a few laughs over a coffee (or your favourite summer drink ☕🍉). I'd love to hear: 🌍 What are you doing this summer? 💡 What's one idea you're excited to try next year? 🤝 How can this community better support you as an educator? If there's enough interest, I'll organise a relaxed one-hour Google Meet. Would you join? 👍 Yes, I'd love to. ❤️ Depends on the day and time. 💬 Tell me what time zone you're in, and I'll try to make it work for everyone.

☀️ Anyone up for a Summer Teacher Coffee Chat?
Is Anyone Else…?
Is anyone else completely exhausted but also emotional that the year is ending? Every year I reach this point where I’m: 📚 finishing reports 🧠 mentally tired ☀️ thinking about summer plans ❤️ and somehow already missing the students at the same time Teaching is strange like that. Some classes drain us. Some classes change us. And some students quietly stay in our hearts long after the year finishes. So tell us honestly 👇 ✨ What has been the hardest part of this school year for you? ✨ And what is one moment or student you know you’ll remember? (And yes… coffee counts as emotional support right now ☕😂)
