Friendly Reminder - Everytime you shift focus, you lose it!
Doing some deep work right now, and found myself unconsciously checking my phone out of old habit. Immediately, since I'm becoming more sensitive and aware through this program, I felt a shift. Lower energy, lower focus, and took another 5-10 minutes to get back in the flow of things. I know right now our group is all men lol but eventually when women join it's important to note: Both genders are poor at multi-tasking. I've heard before that women are better at multi-tasking but so far theres no biological proof of this, just interesting to think about. So... practice this: do one thing at a time. This is essentialism at play. Eating? Just eat. Having a conversation? just do that. Making love? just do that and don't think about anything else. Be. Here. NOW!
All Mental Projection is a form of Poronography
My hot take… Just hit my Edenic Morning routine, looking at the gym with a clear mind & dopamine receptors firing at all cylinders… and a download came through: When it comes to pleasure at least, I would consider mental projection a subtler form of porn. Why? For all the men in here (and maybe women too) When you “think about someone in lust” or scroll instagram/youtube to get a hit of dopamine… It’s bypassing the spiritual plane, and is a mental projection, right? So if you’re getting off with a thought in your head, you’re still in a world of illusion. Unless there is a flesh & blood human being in front of you that you’re communing with… it’s pornography. So be mindful this week of the mind escaping into fantasy, bring it back down to the breath, into your heart, & into the NOW. What do you see, feel, hear and can touch? This is embodiment. We have a meditation today @ 12:30pm to dive into this for you. With love, Spence
