Resisting the itch
During my morning meditation I counted at least six instances of wanting to check my phone.
After the third time, i looked at my phone (face down, charging mode) and whispered.
"Later, when the moment is right".
The subsequent 3 or so urges seemed less powerful.
This has always been my issue. Urge, followed by Action. Now there is disruption in between, killing the urge, lessening it's power.
My style isn't to ignore, or bury, rather, to allow these urges to wash over me and feel their true nature. And realise that they're made of air, with little true substance or need.
I wonder, what are the methods you are using to tackle the urge? I'd love to hear them.
