Daily Work, Dec 25, Week 2

(Dec 6 - 7) Some watercolor wins from the life drawing session. I'm trying to be a little bolder with color and use more green. Normally I use burnt umber and blue which I am very, very familiar with. This combo is Alizarin crimson and Viridian green. It's new to me so I don't quite know how to control and transition the greys yet into flesh tones. The greys it makes are very, very pretty to me. I will keep practicing this new combo.

I also used mostly the big 1/2" flat brush like Nathan. It's very uncomfortable and a little scary, but it forces me to be better painter, a better 'mass artist', a better mark maker, which I desperately need.
