Let's talk about something most commonly asked here: Keeping a convo going through text
If your convos keep dying, it’s usually one of these:
- you’re asking question after question (interview mode)
- you’re only replying, not adding anything new (dead end replies)
- you’re trying to be “perfect” instead of present
The simple fix: use this formula:
ANSWER + ADD + ASK
- Answer (respond to what she said)
- Add (a small detail/story/opinion)
- Ask (one easy question that gives her something to work with)
Example:
Her: “I had a long day at work.”
You: “Damn, those days feel like 3 days in one. I had one of those earlier this week and I was useless after 6pm. What kind of work day was it for you?"
Bonus rule: keep it light until you’ve met
Texting is for building comfort + setting plans. Not building a whole relationship.
Mini challenge for the weekend:
Send 3 messages using Answer + Add + Ask
Then stop over-texting and set a plan!!!
