Welcome to CreditShield Academy — Start Here
If you're here, something on your credit report is costing you — a denied loan, a high interest rate, an apartment you didn't get. Or you just know your credit is bad and you want to understand why. You're in the right place. Here's where to start: **→ Go to Classroom and start Module 1.** It takes about 20 minutes. By the end, you'll understand how your score is calculated and what's actually dragging it down. **→ Pull your 3 free credit reports** from AnnualCreditReport.com and download them as PDFs. You'll need these for everything that follows. **→ Introduce yourself below.** Tell us where you're starting from and what you're working toward. This community moves faster when people share. If you want AI to do the heavy lifting on your dispute letters and analysis — upgrade to Premium. First 50 founding members get in at $47/month, locked for life. [PREMIUM LINK] Otherwise, start with the free course. There's real work you can do before you need any tools. Let's get to work. — Leny

Community Rules -- Please Read Before Posting
This community works because everyone in it respects each other's journey. Here are the ground rules that keep this space valuable for everyone. **1. Be respectful.** Everyone is at a different stage. No mocking, no gatekeeping, no negativity toward someone who's just getting started. We were all there once. **2. No spam or self-promotion.** This is not the place to promote your business, affiliate links, services, or anything unrelated to credit education. Immediate removal. **3. Never share personal information publicly.** Do not post account numbers, Social Security numbers, full names on disputes, or any sensitive financial details in the community. Redact everything. Protect yourself. **4. Celebrate wins -- big and small.** Someone got a collection removed? Celebrate it. Someone pulled their credit report for the first time? Celebrate that too. Every step forward matters. **5. Ask questions freely.** There are no dumb questions here. If you're confused about something, someone else probably is too. Post it. That's what this community is for. **6. Don't give legal advice.** We are not lawyers and this community does not provide legal advice. We share educational information about credit laws and your rights. If you need legal counsel, consult an attorney. **7. Keep discussions on-topic.** This community is about credit education, credit building, and financial empowerment. Off-topic posts will be moved or removed. **8. Tag your posts in the right space.** Use the correct category when posting: Questions & Help, Wins, Introductions, Resources, etc. This keeps things organized and makes it easier for everyone to find what they need. Breaking these rules may result in a warning or removal from the community. *CreditShield Academy is a credit education community. We do not perform credit repair services on your behalf. Information shared here is educational in nature and is not legal advice. You have the right to dispute inaccurate items on your credit report for free, directly with the credit bureaus.*

What are you working toward?
Let's start with the big picture. What's the credit goal that brought you here? Maybe it's buying your first home. Maybe it's getting approved for a car without a cosigner. Maybe you're tired of getting denied for apartments. Maybe you want to start a business and need funding. Or maybe you just want to stop feeling anxious every time credit comes up. Whatever it is, drop it below. There's no goal too big or too small. When you share your goal, you'll probably find someone else in here working toward the exact same thing. That's the power of community -- you don't have to figure this out alone. So, what are you working toward?
