Community Rules -- Please Read Before Posting
This community works because everyone in it respects each other's journey. Here are the ground rules that keep this space valuable for everyone.
**1. Be respectful.** Everyone is at a different stage. No mocking, no gatekeeping, no negativity toward someone who's just getting started. We were all there once.
**2. No spam or self-promotion.** This is not the place to promote your business, affiliate links, services, or anything unrelated to credit education. Immediate removal.
**3. Never share personal information publicly.** Do not post account numbers, Social Security numbers, full names on disputes, or any sensitive financial details in the community. Redact everything. Protect yourself.
**4. Celebrate wins -- big and small.** Someone got a collection removed? Celebrate it. Someone pulled their credit report for the first time? Celebrate that too. Every step forward matters.
**5. Ask questions freely.** There are no dumb questions here. If you're confused about something, someone else probably is too. Post it. That's what this community is for.
**6. Don't give legal advice.** We are not lawyers and this community does not provide legal advice. We share educational information about credit laws and your rights. If you need legal counsel, consult an attorney.
**7. Keep discussions on-topic.** This community is about credit education, credit building, and financial empowerment. Off-topic posts will be moved or removed.
**8. Tag your posts in the right space.** Use the correct category when posting: Questions & Help, Wins, Introductions, Resources, etc. This keeps things organized and makes it easier for everyone to find what they need.
Breaking these rules may result in a warning or removal from the community.
