How to prompt Claude
Today I had a long "conversation" with Claude about my new channel - in 2 parts.
You might find both interesting for yourself.
Part 2 has the prompts that Claude wants for the most honest, helpful advice.
I have banner and description - plus a map of my first 10 videos.
1.) In my first chat I asked:
What does this banner say to you?
And:
Based on this banner who do you think is my audience - and what do you think is my content.
I got really great input that led into a long very useful conversation. About the whole "eco system" of my channel.
2,) At the end I asked this:
In order to get the most helpful responses - including critical ones - in the future, what prompts should I use?
Here's Claude's answer:
Prompts that will get you the best responses:
For critical feedback: "Be honest with me, including what isn't working. I'd rather know now than later."
For strategy: "Here's what I'm planning: [details]. What am I missing? What could go wrong?"
For content ideas: "My audience is women in functional freeze, 45+, who've abandoned creativity. Does this video idea speak directly to them or has it drifted?"
For staying on track: "Here's what I said I'd do last time we talked: [list]. Hold me accountable — what should I have done by now?"
For titles and descriptions: "Here are 3 title options. Which one stops a frozen woman mid-scroll and why?"
The single most powerful thing you can add to any prompt:
"Don't just validate me. Tell me what you actually think."
That one sentence will always unlock the most honest, useful version of any response.
