45lbs rucksack - 14.5 miles - 11:38 minute per mole pace. 2 years ago I could do 7.5 miles with the same weight at 8:30 minutes per mile twice a day. My heart rate is back to normal 2 months after anesthesia and the distal radius orientation surgery on my wrist. My goal by next year is to perform a 2-3 day solo mountian trail excursion with 35-45lbs of gear traveling 10-20 miles per day and digging 1-2 hides sites a quarter to a half mile off trail. I will mark these hide sites on a 1:25000 topographic map by locating myself with lensatic compass and 2 landmarks. ---------- On the secound excursion I will will challange myself to navigate from the trail to each hide site via compass and map.
