Primal Ayurveda Challenge Strategy - Think on a continuum
I found this inspiring at this start of the Primal Ayurveda Challenge. As we play and experiment with practices that are not habits...practices that are not engrained. Heck - we may not even know how this practice makes us feel. Just like a plow doesn't always break the ground deeply in the first pass, it takes time to develop a habit.
So, one strategy is to embrace continuum thinking. Continuum thinking is understanding at one end there is not doing the action (doing nothing) and at the opposite end is doing the action perfectly (the right duration, intensity, place, etc) and seeing that there are a lot of options in between those two ends of the continuum that add value, energy and wellness. The opposite of continuum thinking is all or nothing thinking or "cognitive distortion" which is irrational thought patterns that skew your perceptions, hinder your progress and make you miserable.
The Primal Ayurveda Challenge is all about upskilling your walk in this life. Somewhere along the continuum is better than nothing!
