Internet is full of slop...

I was wondering if there is a way to retrieve data from the internet faster and efficiently. The search algorithms we've got are just not that helpful anymore. We might have to look back at history on how those search engines and algorithms were made (like for the augmentation of the humans) but now there are just tools of mass exploitation. Can anybody make a new algorithm for this using good old principles.

The internet is a big place with a lot of slop but that 1% gold is what makes me come back to it again and again. I used to go to simple sites like this one mathisfun.com to learn. It's an old looking site but the feeling it gave me still makes me wonder the ones we have today are just soulless.

We are in the transition period of the digital space. I think we can build algorithms and search engines that augment people instead of exploting them. Actually I wanted to ask if there is a way to do that.
