Memory tricks for learning complex basslines?
Ok, so I have a problem when it comes to playing. My ADHD messes with my head and I can't seem to do the root note only thing when I know a song has a more complex bassline. However I've also got the memory retention of a gnat when it comes to complex basslines. Does anyone have a techniques they use to remember more complex stuff? Something that works when all you have is lyrics and chord markers? I'd really like to get past the root notes only thing, so stuff sounds more like it was written and not sound like it's missing something.
