🧠 YOU'RE DANCING TO THE COUNTS. NOT THE MUSIC.
There's a difference — and it shows on camera. When a trainee is counting ("5, 6, 7, 8..."), their movement becomes mechanical. Every beat gets equal weight. Every transition is the same size. But the music doesn't work that way. Some beats are heavy. Some are whispered. Some carry the whole emotional load of the track. Musicality is the skill of responding to THAT — not to the count. ➤ The "Accent" Exercise: 1. Pick any 16-count section of a song you're learning 2. Listen 3x without moving — just identify: where is the heaviest hit? The softest? 3. Now mark those moments physically. A heavy hit = bigger, sharper movement. A soft moment = smaller, slower. 4. The count stays the same. The WEIGHT changes. Most trainees are technically on time but musically absent. You can be both on time AND expressive. That's the goal. Film this version vs. your original. Notice the difference? 🎯 Drop a 🎵 if this is something you want to work on.

Extensions
How do you guys improve your extensions? Like arm extensions and legs I notice that’s my main issue when dancing and it’s gonna take me a bit to improve so if anyone has any tips I’d appreciate them.

A general doubt
Coach when I send an audition video to any of the kpop companies, do I have to introduce myself first and go for the rap, vocal or dance. Or should I just showcase my dance or rap directly. Is that important in an audition?
