The mediator had the manner of an untrained mediator or at Best someone who’s lost interest in their job !
Had a time slot of 2 till 4 o’clock ; mediator called at 2:23 and we’d finish the call before 3.30! Although I was prepared with a case summary, he wasn’t interested in Data Protection claimed the other side felt they were innocent and would only offer a £500 goodwill gesture.
I asked him to present several points to the other side. Which he refused and said what’s the point? My point being it wasn’t just about the money it’s about creating better business practice and if they can’t accept breaches and apologise for non-compliance, then there is no goodwill to bring better service to the public. 🙄 it’s a payoff which I politely decline!
