Put your issue in a bit more detail so people maybe able to guide you, also look at council tax bot that may be able to direct your response. There is a council tax classroom you could go to for more information on your rights and their responsibilities
Released the 2 bots, CT and the Audit Ai
Thanks for all those that tested them. Feel free to post this post on Fakebook, etc I’m releasing two educational AIs designed to bring more clarity and less fear into everyday public-law problems. CT & Rates AI Light Explains Council Tax (England & Wales) and Domestic Rates (Northern Ireland) letters, bills, reminders and enforcement in plain English. It uses a Novice A–E framework to: Identify your situation Explain basic rules and fairness Apply them in a neutral way Suggest low-risk next steps (questions, clarifications, complaints routes) Set realistic expectations It does not give legal advice, tactics, or tell you not to pay. Council & Police Audit AI Helps you calmly audit councils and police: websites, reception areas, forms, FOI/DSAR processes. It focuses on understanding your rights, recording what you see, and using official complaints and oversight routes—never confrontation or harassment. You remain responsible for your own decisions; these tools are for learning and orientation only. @Jack Stubbs I had a quick go with new one last night, definitely different perspective from enforcement issues, ideal for auditing their actions and constructing complaints. Learning about procedures they must follow, etc. Certainly helped with my situation with council, all about their actions and not following their own rules.

@Dave DimeBar may use it when I get a response from tesco 😁
Financial Advocate Use
With the financial advocate/guardian letter. How does that work in practice? How will I know if they have accepted my offer if I am saying not to contact me? How will I set up payment with Lowell for my £5 a month? I like the idea and have sent the first 3 letters to Lowell and want to send the expenditure list now as stated in the classroom. Anyone have experience with the finer details here?

In these letters, you're asking them to direct correspondence to your advocate rather than them ringing, emailing, texting you personally and arriving at your home. You use your address as a c/o address for advocates mail. So as to ensure transparency for you as client. Lowell should respond to your advocate via your address where,if they accept your payment offer, you can set up the payment. Hope this clarifies things. Continue with the advocate process as and when the letters need sending or responding to. Re watch any videos that cover using the advocacy route, to help you understand fully what you're doing. Good luck and I hope it works well for you
Commital threat & threatening language
I have been sent a prison commital threat so i used the CT ai and it recommends starting some sort of payment so i cant be seen as willful refusal by a court. It advised calming fown this situation prior to continuing my case against them. I paid a £40 payment which i'll continue to monthly and sent the below: Dear Sir or Madam, I acknowledge receipt of correspondence dated 26 January 2026 indicating an intention to apply for committal proceedings in respect of council tax liability. I am actively engaging with the Council in writing, have raised formal procedural and data protection complaints (including with the Information Commissioner’s Office), and I confirm that I have now commenced payments directly to Trafford Council. A payment of £40 has been made, and further payments will continue. All payments are made strictly without prejudice and without admission of liability. For the avoidance of doubt, there has been no wilful refusal or culpable neglect. There has been ongoing engagement, dispute as to procedure and enforcement lawfulness, and payment has now resumed. In those circumstances, the statutory threshold for committal is not met. I am the sole point of contact dealing with this matter. I am taking responsibility for engagement and payment, and I request confirmation that no separate committal application or enforcement action will be pursued against Jessica £%*[# while this matter is being actively addressed by me. Please confirm that committal action is paused while payments continue and the outstanding procedural and data protection issues remain under consideration. Yours faithfully, ... However i have now been copied into the screenshot email and sent the other email. Has anybody else been at this staga and what do you recommend? Ive built a really good case of evidence against them for data protection breaches, unlawful enforcement, lack of sar responses etc but feel like im back on the back foot a bit now.
