The Event is happening in 5 days
The past week has been a wonderful experience.
The past week has been fantastic! So many of my thoughts came to fruition! My cat is pregnant and should give birth in the next week or two! I wasn’t sure how I was going to pay the $600 a month for my girls therapy or and vet bills one the kittens are here. I said the Lord always provides last night… and this morning he did. I got a credit limit increase on my CC which means I can stay in this course and care for my kids and kitties. I had weird dreams about animals 3 nights in a row, the last two nights were interesting as well. I remember parts of all of them. I have been keeping up with the notebook, but I did miss a day of actually writing it down. I pushed myself out of my comfort zone in a few different ways. I’m not sure if I should have kept the same action throughout the week. I had conversations I had been hiding from, I cooked a meal with ingredients I don’t usually use, I did pushups, cold water shock and a few other things. I plan to post a video as another way of getting out of the comfort zone, but in case I don’t this week… this is my post. After the meditation on Wednesday, I felt changed. Everything seemed a little brighter and clearer. Ideas flowed all week! I wrote them down, now I just need to DO them! Thank you all of you for being such incredible souls! 💚🌿🤗✨🙏🏼
Week 2 ❤️
For my physical disruption this week, I decided to push beyond my usual workout routine. I trained for longer and added some exercises I had wanted to try for a while but had avoided because I was afraid they would make me too muscular. I added dumbbells starting with 7 kg then 5 kg and eventually dropping to 2 kg. The first few days were definitely uncomfortable. I had more muscle soreness and fatigue than usual, but I completed the challenge and adjusted the weight afterward. I actually enjoyed these exercises and would like to keep them as part of my weekly routine, just not every day. I will continue with 2 kg for now. I realized that I had allowed a fear based on an assumption to keep me from trying something I genuinely wanted to do. Sometimes you have to step outside what feels familiar to discover what you are actually capable of. For my Field Notebook, I went through a situation that left me feeling disappointed, especially because it didn’t match my expectations, even though I had tried to look at it without judgment and give it the benefit of the doubt. I did the Revision exercise. The event still comes and goes in my mind, but it no longer carries the same emotional weight. Revision helped me change how I felt about the event while Memento Mori gave me another perspective on how much attention I choose to give it.
Week 2 ❤️
Week Two Homework
This week I have seen improvements on my work efficiency, especially after the meditation we did last week. I did a few things that I wouldn't normally do everyday. One was meditation, while another was pushups and pull ups. I continued to use my field notebook, however the consistency especially with real time logging hasn't really been on point. There have been days when I skipped journaling. And when I haven't skipped journaling, I would usually write everything at once during the evening or before bed. I don't really want to get into the habit of doing that so wish me well. With meditation specifically, I have done the leaf exercise in the morning and the meditation from last week during the evening before bed. I have gotten into the habit of doing the AM/PM Sovereign Manifesto, however there have been evenings where I skipped the night audit & SATS PM protocol due to falling asleep early. I have missed two days of evening meditation as well. But I am getting back on track with consistency. One thing that I am very consistent with is taking cold showers. I have taken a five minute cold shower everyday. Although cold showers are not really new for me. I started taking cold showers last year, so doing it is a very normal activity for me. I enjoy taking cold showers. It makes me feel refreshed and energized. I do recommend others to try it. Despite that, there are some thought patterns I noticed about myself lately. Even though I haven't really journaled everyday I noticed that I have been living in the state as someone who is behind. I keep thinking that I have been falling behind in this course, when I should be thinking the opposite. I keep thinking that I have been distracted. I think it's because I don't actually believe I could implement the habits from Kairos into my daily life. I don't want to keep thinking this way, but I figured I'd share it. Other than that I am doing well.
Week 2 Update
My physical disruption was waking up and hitting push ups immediately. The main intention was to not just stay in bed doom scrolling. I got it 6/7 times this week. Good progress, in that sense I've made the old identity feel uncomfortable. Now I feel the urge to do it with other and more impactful parts of my life, but it hasn't clicked just yet. All about faith and consistency in the daily. Getting better with the field notebook as I haven't really been the type to write much things down- but now I see it as me talking to my best friend, myself. I feel more momentum in that direction will definitely improve my self image :)
