Google Search Console adds patronising 'achievements' section
The latest unusual twist from our tech overlords at Google is their decision to pat us on the head like well-behaved schoolchildren when we do something they like. I find this rather odd, but Google has introduced an “achievements” section in Search Console. Instead of me walking you through where to find your gold stars, I suggest you read this article from Search Engine Land.

Meta/Facebook have finally launched their AI-enabled super-duper glasses, but does anyone care?

The owners of Rolling Stone magazine are suing Google over AI overviews.
Rolling Stone is suing Google. Why? Because Google's AI Overviews are giving people answers without sending them to the actual websites. Less traffic. Fewer clicks. More lawyers. Google, of course, says the opposite. They claim AI drives more traffic. Which feels a bit like being told losing your wallet builds character. What's interesting here is that someone with serious money is finally pushing back. Most of us just moan into our coffee. These folks are putting on the legal gloves and stepping into the ring. Are you worried about AI overviews taking traffic away? Read the article here - https://www.theverge.com/ai-artificial-intelligence/777788/rolling-stone-penske-media-sue-google-ai-overviews
