Grandson
I would like to introduce y’all to Wesley Arthur Borst. I’m a freakin grandpa, that’s so crazy! He arrived at 10:03 last night. He was 20” tall and 7# 12 oz. Exciting times!

Community Cold Shots! 🏹
So to strike a balance between our weekly shot challenges and folks in the first tier we are launching a weekly cold shot! All you gotta do is toss out some ideas for a cold shot and make it interesting as well! Be creative but not too crazy 🤪 🎯 and provide a description of the shot and a video for folks! Everyone that can please post a vid or pic of your cold shot and your setup as well - bow/arrow etc. Toss some ideas below for the cold shot for this week and if you are able to video yourself and a walk through of the shot! 🦌 I’m tagging @Jarrod Floyd @Colton Deline @Kris Kok @Reg Tanner Let’s get this going and get shootin! Shooting
So as I have been shooting this year and switching to split finger and with glove I have kept popping arrow off shelf. So I switched to pulling with just 2 fingers and not using ring finger at all. Does anyone else shoot using 2 fingers?

I shoot three under, but I have played around with split finger. With both hooks, my ring finger is barely on the string, split and 3 under.

Shoulder update
Had my six week postop this afternoon. Everything is great and I am officially sling free! Exciting times for sure, now the work starts. New list of exercises for home and I officially start PT Monday morning. Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. Honestly, the hardest part of all this has/is not being able to shoot my bow for the last six weeks and probably for another six weeks.

@Ken Borst Left is the one I had two surgeries on. I had a very good surgeon the second time around. He was really sharp…he even did the math in his head on the spot in the exam room when I asked him about bow hunting with my compound, lol. He asked what my peak draw was, so I told him; then he asked what the let-off was, and that’s when I knew I wouldn’t be picking a bow up anytime soon that summer. Great surgeon and a great doctor. I was fortunate to have him.

@Ken Borst Keep stretching those resistance bands!! You’d be amazed at how well those things work for light conditioning.

Anyone out there still have a season? I've got bear till the end of the month. Looking pretty tough now though. Everything is fully sprouted.

@Grant Richardson I’d hate to know I had to collect enough dandelions to make a salad with! I’d probably starve before finding enough of them.

Coyotes and hogs, here. Neither are considered game animals and it’s open season on them year round on private ground. But we’re already bumping 90F and humidity around 60-70%, daily. Not great hunting conditions. Even after dark (night hunting for both is legal here), the temps will drop into the low 70s, but the humidity gets really high at night, so I just stay indoors and suck up some ac.

Mid-50s bowhunter, started out with compounds like many archers do. Always loved trad archery and finally bought a “couple” trad bows recently.
