Processing Raw Feathers for Fletching (Need insight)

I managed to secure some primary goose feathers from my hunt this morning.

I’ve been looking up methods for a while now and was wondering—how many of you use the freezing method before the cleaning?

I’m open to anyone’s process, including cutting, shaping, etc.
