After the live call today I walked out on the back porch to enjoy the sunshine. I hear some rustling coming from the siding on the house and out pops this mole who proceeds to scurry towards the birdfeeder. I step in and put on my glove and grab my longbow. He’s rifling thru all the empty sunflower seeds on the ground as I come back out. At roughly 5-6 yards, I follow the shot process focusing on its head. Bow arm, draw/anchor 1second pause, release/follow through 1 second pause. I watched my arrow skewer it, bounce off the frozen ground and skip about 15 feet into the snow. I’ve been working diligently on the process for the last week because I wasn’t having consistency in my shots. It’s just a lil rodent, but that was very gratifying seeing my shot come together on such a small target! 🏹
