I was winging it like always, but it worked out pretty good this time so I thought id share
1 red pepper sliced
1 white onion sliced
1 head(?) Of garlic? A bunch of garlics all on the same stick, help me out here 1 cup of mushrooms sliced
4 servings rice
Soya sauce
1 tablespoon of butter
250ml of blackberry jam or some other jam im sure would work
750gram chunked venison
Rosemary
Thyme
Naughty Juice (red wine)
Pink Himalayan salt and coarse black pepper
Okay, here we go, what did I do...
Make the rice With the butter and once its ready to take off the element, add your soya sauce and set it aside, keep it warm.
Pretty heat a big cast iron skillet and toss in your venison, once its seared on all sides, dump in the onion and garlic.
When onions seem halfway sautéed, add mushrooms and red pepper. Sprinkle with rosemary and thyme, salt and pepper. When the onions are fully sautéed, dump in your jam and stir. You probably have to turn up the heat at this point cause the pan is getting full. The jam will start to carmelize, give it the naughty juice and stir it up again. Keep moving it until everything in the pan is stained with same and wine. Let it simmer a bit until the onions taste freaking awesome. As with all I do in the kitchen, it should look like a mess spawned from a panic to make dinner while starving, and receiving dagger eyes from a grumpy woman, and with zero forethought. Serve the mess on a bed of sauced up rice. Nailed it.
